What does a full Rajputi bridal jewellery set include?
A Rajputi dulhan’s set is built around five pieces: the aad at the neck, the timaniya tied above it, the rakhdi and borla at the head, and matching earrings. Most brides add a nath, kundan bangles, a hathphool ring, and depending on the family, a bajuband and sheeshphool. If you are buying for a wedding, start with the aad and rakhdi — everything else is matched around them.
Aad or timaniya — which one do you need?
The aad is the broad, square statement necklace worn at weddings and major functions; it anchors the bridal look. The timaniya is lighter — a close choker with three central stones — and is what Rajputi women actually wear most: festivals, family functions, even daily occasions. For a wedding, take both. For everything else, the timaniya is the workhorse.
