A Rajputi poshak is, as the reference description of the garment sets out, a coordinated set rather than a single piece — a ghaghra whose ceremonial versions may run to twenty-five fabric panels and a hem circumference past fifteen metres, a fitted kanchli, a kurti and an odhna. Gota patti, the ribbon work that defines its surface, is a recognised Rajasthani handicraft documented by the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) under India’s Ministry of Textiles. Those two facts set the standard everything below is measured against.

- Is the gota grade disclosed? Real silver and silver-toned are different materials at different prices.
- Stitched or unstitched, stated clearly? An unstitched poshak needs a tailor, and adds cost and time.

A Mumbai retail outlet alongside an online store, which is useful if you want fabric in your hand before paying. Strongest at the festive end — lahariya poshak from around ₹2,550, party-wear Rajputi and Rajwadi pieces, and a parallel range of imitation jewellery.
Not for you if you want a garment cut to your measurements or a bridal piece with hand gota patti and a stated kali count. Beendani describes sourcing from local manufacturers, which is an honest description of a retail model rather than a workshop.
Saundaryam
Around three hundred listings, positioned on affordability, including an “under ₹2,000” bracket. If you want choice at the lowest price point, it is there.
Not for you if the discounting matters to you. Pieces list at ₹19,635 marked down to ₹6,545, ₹17,274 down to ₹5,758 — roughly two-thirds off, permanently. The honest reading is that the lower number is the price. At that level the garment is machine work on synthetic or blended fabric, in standard sizes.
Ranas
Jaipur. The most consistent house in the handcrafted mid-range — gota patti and marori on pure georgette, mostly ₹10,885 to ₹34,885, with heavier pieces to ₹58,885. They name fabric precisely, state work type, and take measurements for made-to-order pieces.
Not for you if you want the heaviest bridal couture. The top of their range does not reach the couture tier. And Ranas makes poshak and sarees — the jewellery and the chuda are somebody else’s problem.
Yuvti
The deepest heavy-bridal selection we found. Pure silk satin with zardozi border and jaal handwork, aari, dabka and salma — ₹59,800, ₹79,800, ₹99,800, and a piece at ₹1,75,800. Lighter work starts around ₹22,800.
Not for you if you need it stitched. Several Yuvti listings are unstitched — the poshak arrives as fabric and worked pieces for your own tailor, which changes your timeline and your total cost. Read each listing for it. As with Ranas, poshak is the business; jewellery and chuda are not.
Jaipur Sanduk
Jaipur, listing in US dollars as well as rupees, which tells you who they are set up for. Bridal poshak run to around ₹98,000 — handmade, made to order, semo satin and georgette with heavy zardosi and salma-sitara work.
Not for you if you are short on time. Made-to-order means waiting, and dispatch terms should be confirmed against your wedding date before ordering.

That is not a marketing line, it is a structural difference. The boor chuda, in the form your family actually wears
We make bridal boor chuda in 7 cut and 9 cut dhalu — fourteen or eighteen bangles, turned from boor by hand, cream-white with a hathi dant finish and no ivory, 250 to 300 grams so it stays light through a long day.
And we make it in the regional forms: Marwar, Mewar, Shekhawati and Hadoti. A Marwar bride’s chuda is not the Mewar version. Families are usually specific about this, and most sellers cannot offer it at all. Tell us the region and we make that one.
The Thikana Patra
Every bridal chuda goes out with a Thikana Patra — a scroll on handmade paper, bound with a gota patti ribbon, carrying the history of the estate the bride’s family comes from.
It is researched, not decorated. Every patra is checked against published records — indianrajputs.com, rajput.digital, and the family’s own — and sent to the bride’s family for approval before it is written. If a family does not hold a thikana, she receives the Karni Creations Patra instead: the story of the craft, the hands and the house her chuda was made in, written in her name.
Nobody else in this market does this. It is the part brides’ fathers ring their uncles about.
How we work
You see it before it ships. Every piece is shown on a video call — the cut, the finish, the weight in the hand — before it leaves Jaipur. On custom and Signature orders, photos of the work in progress come to you as it is made.
We say what the gota is. Where a piece is silver-toned rather than real silver, the listing says so. That disclosure is the single fastest way to judge any seller in this trade, including us.
We do not print struck-through prices. The number on the page is the price.
Our exchange policy is written down, including the parts you may not like. No refunds, no exchange for a change of mind. We exchange a size that does not fit and a chuda that arrives broken, both with an unboxing video. We would rather tell you before you order than after.

Are cheap Rajputi poshaks on marketplaces genuine?
They are real products, but they are not handcrafted Rajputi poshaks. Pieces at ₹800 to ₹2,500 are typically semi-stitched synthetic sets with machine embroidery or foil print standing in for hand gota work, supplied in standard sizes rather than made to measure. Fine for a college function; not for a wedding day.
What makes one poshak cost five times another?
Four things: the kali count of the ghaghra, which decides how much fabric the skirt uses and how it flares; the fabric itself, since pure silk and georgette cost very differently per metre; whether the gota is real silver or silver-toned; and the hours of hand embroidery. None of these are visible in a photograph, and all of them are answerable by the seller.

What is the difference between real silver gota and silver-toned gota?
Real silver gota contains genuine silver, tarnishes slowly, can be polished back, and is priced against silver rates. Silver-toned gota is a metallic-coated ribbon that holds its colour well but cannot be restored once it dulls. Both are legitimate choices. On Karni Creations listings, where a piece is silver-toned rather than real silver, the listing says so.
What does “unstitched” mean on a poshak listing?
It means the poshak arrives as worked fabric pieces rather than a finished garment, and you arrange stitching yourself. Several houses list both stitched and unstitched versions of similar pieces. Check which one you are buying, because it changes both your total cost and your timeline.
Do you make regional boor chuda — Marwar, Mewar, Hadoti, Shekhawati?
Yes. A Marwar bride’s boor chuda is not the Mewar version, and Shekhawati and Hadoti each keep their own. Karni Creations makes all four, because families usually want the version their own house has always worn. Tell us your region when you enquire.

How long does a bridal poshak take?
At Karni Creations: Ready Bridal Poshak ships in two to three days, Custom Bridal takes three to four weeks from confirmed measurements, and the Signature Designer tier needs six to eight weeks. Made-to-order houses generally need several weeks, and every Jaipur workshop is at peak load in the run-up to the major muhurat dates.
How far ahead should I order for the 2026–27 wedding season?
The season opens on 21 November 2026 with only four muhurat dates that month, followed by seven in early December and a much larger window in January and February 2027. Because every Jaipur atelier is working to the same dates, order well before the rush rather than in the final weeks.
Can I get a Rajputi poshak made to my measurements?
Yes, from the houses that work made-to-order. You will usually need bust, waist, hip and ghaghra length. Measure the ghaghra length from waist to floor wearing the heels you plan to wear on the day — it is the measurement that goes wrong most often, and a panelled ghaghra is difficult to alter afterwards.
