In girls wedding where everybody is waiting for Barat. The ladies are excited to see groom and Padla.Which he get along with him. So today we will tell you why they are excited to see the rajputi padla. 

In Rajputi weddings the stuff which comes from groom’s house for the bride is called PADLA.

This preparation done at groom’s house. The younger brother of groom’s carry the  bride’s dress (Bari), bride’s bangles(Chura), bride’s footwear (Binota), Necklace (Aad) and all cosmetic products enters the house. 

Padla dastoor is a custom which is followed only by Rajputs and it is done on the wedding day. In this the groom’s family brings clothes, jewellery Bangles, footwear and other gifts for the bride.these are to be worn by the bride on her wedding day.  

After the groom’s mother put an auspicious mark and then stuff. The stuff being displayed. Usually there are 7,11 , 21 Poshak or Sarees which are given to the bride. One can increase the no. Of poshaks but always remember it should be in odd numbers.this  displayed is being done a day before the barat leaves for bride’s house.After the display the stuff is packed in a big trunk. Earlier these trunks use to be plain but now in these days you can get different decorated varieties of trunks at the shop.

 There are more lot of different things which taken together with this stuff. Some of the important ones are dry coconut, Henna ,suhag pura ,jeggry cake, red auspicious thread (Moli), sugar sweet, Clove, betel nut and cardamom. 

Dry fruits, seasonal fruits,and variety of sweets are also being taken.Taking green coriander mint leaves considered auspicious. 

Padla is send to the bride’s house at the time of Samela Puja ceremony After which it is displayed.The bride gets ready after the displayed.

In earlier times people use to get an idea of how well of bride’s in laws are bt mere watching the Padla.All the items in padla are displayed in plates. Usually 51 or 101 plates are displayed. One can increase or decrease the number according to their will. Aad is a compulsory jewellery in Rajputi wedding. Othe than that one can send jewellery according to their will.
